NOW ACCEPTING REGISTRATIONS FOR PRIVATE MUSIC AND VOCAL LESSONS 2011-12 SEASON

A challenging, stimulating and fun approach, upon learning the basics of sight reading and technique, a student may wish to try a variety of styles such as classical, jazz, pop culture or freestyle or to stream into a single area of interest. Recreational or Royal Conservatory of Music exam preparation can be accommodated for instrumental and vocal students. All music students are invited to perform at major studio events including the annual Spring Gala where they each get a chance to be a featured soloist.  For all your recording needs SA provides a state of the art recording facility and engineers. This recording option enhances experience in music training and is vital to career preparation.

Private instruction/exam preparation available in:

PIANO
Award winning artists such as Norah Jones, Jewel and Sarah McLaughlin have helped to rekindle a youthful interest in this beautiful instrument. Regardless of what draws a student to piano or keyboarding lessons, they will receive a strong fundamental program at SA.

STRINGS
Our string department offers lessons in violin, viola, cello and guitar (classical, folk, pop and rock).

PERCUSSION-Drums
Our percussionists at SA bring with them years of teaching experience as well as band performance in areas of classical, concert, jazz rock, and popular techniques. Fundamental training will lead to a genuine passion for the art of drumming.

VOCALS
Lessons in vocal training warm ups, coaching, sight reading and repertoire are available at SA for the beginner to advanced student. Vocal health, strong stage presence, microphone & projection skills compile our "holistic" teaching approach.

Group instruction available in:

VOCAL ENSEMBLE/CHOIR
Recommended for children five and up. The vocal ensemble introduces children to the enjoyment of singing and working together in a choral group and builds a foundation for proper vocal and breathing techniques. The ensemble performs at our year end shows.  A significant aid to ear training development for the serious student, and loads of fun.

GLEE CLUB
Glee club is losely based on the popular television show GLEE! Students will work towards proper vocal technique as well as choreographic movements all while singing their favorite Glee and other top 40 songs. A repetoire of songs will be learned throughout the year to be performed at our year-end performance. Work on harmonies and sight reading will be introduced throughout the classes.
